Job Description
We are in search of a skilled and collaborative Dental Scheduling Coordinator to become part of our close-knit team at a friendly general dentistry practice in Woodbridge Township, NJ. The core duties consist of providing a warm welcome to patients, optimizing dentists' and hygienists' schedules, ensuring efficient schedule management, obtaining and processing insurance details, handling payments, and overseeing incoming calls. The Scheduling Coordinator will work hand in hand with a Treatment Coordinator, with the possibility of expanding into other roles through additional training opportunities within the practice.Compensation:
$20 - $22 hourlyResponsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and courteously as they arrive at the reception desk
Ensure all patient forms are kept current and updated
Efficiently schedule and confirm appointments for dentists and hygienists
Post-operative care calls
Optimize the schedules of dentists and hygienists to maximize productivity
Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally
Maintain accurate patient insurance and personal information in the system
Verify insurance details and provide detailed breakdowns to patients
Correspond via email with specialists or other practitioners as needed for patient careQualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
Must hold US Work Authorization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills must be demonstrated through an assessment
Previous experience working in a dental office or related field is strongly preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential
Punctual and effective time management skills
Must have a warm and professional demeanor
Experience with Dentrix/Dexis is preferred
