Thank you for your interest in becoming a substitute teacher for Camden County Schools. The following is a list of requirements that must be met in order to be added to the substitute teacher list.

-Current, updated Substitute Teacher Application

-Two Letters of Recommendation - uploaded to the application (a signed letter, written/typed in their own words on why they recommend you to be substitute teacher) The recommendation letter must be signed.

-Official Transcripts - (from your highest level education) If the educational institution has the ability to email official transcripts, they can be emailed to (the first letter of the email is an L, not a 1) OR they can mail the official transcript to Lisa Crabtree 311 S. East St. Kingsland, GA 31548. If you have a sealed, un-opened copy in your possession, you may bring it with you to the training.

Upon completion and submission of your application, you will be enrolled in one of the following substitute teacher trainings. The trainings are held at the Camden County Schools Administrative Office. 311 S. East Street Kingsland, GA 31548

The trainings for the 2025-26 School Year have not yet been scheduled. You will be notified via email when the dates are posted.

If you currently hold a valid GA teaching certificate or GA certificate of eligibility, you are exempt from the 4 hour training session.

After successful completion of the substitute teacher training you will be provided with additional instructions/requirements.
