General Summary

Works in collaboration with the Dean of lnstruction - Nursing and Nursing Program

Director-Curriculum to provide quality education services for Central Community College

nursing students. Supports instructional excellence by serving as a liaison between

faculty, Dean of lnstruction - Nursing, and faculty resource center. Provides leadership to

faculty and other nursing supports. Responsible for orienting and mentoring nursing

adjunct faculty and newly hired full-time faculty. Supports simulation team and faculty to

provide learning experiences in the clinical and simulation environments ensuring a

relevant and contemporary curriculum. Teaches and advises students.

Assists faculty in creating high quality clinical and simulated experiences for nursing

students by serving as a liaison between faculty, faculty resource center, and

administration. Works closely with FRC to ensure policies, procedures, and integrity of

CCC's instructionalguidelines are upheld in all nursing courses. Collaborates with

Nursing Program Director-Curriculum to ensure clinical and simulation learning activities

align with curriculum outcomes.

Coordinates faculty mentor opportunities to cultivate learning strategies in the clinical

and simulated environment.

Provides orientation, on-going support, and mentorship to the nursing program.

Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of adjunct clinical faculty

including management of preceptors.

Initiates and supports improvement of instructional effectiveness; assists Dean to establish program goals and objectives, researches and recommends new techniques/concepts, meets regulations/requirements of accrediting and state regulatory bodies.

Responsible for clinical coordination of schedule. Facilitate effective clinical experiences

and competencies are met at the hospital, clinics, and the simulation environment.

Ensures equitable ability of use of the clinical and simulation labs by all nursing courses.

Acts as main point of contact with clinical partners.

Develops relationships with members and supports their engagement with the advisory

board. Works in collaboration with the Dean of Nursing and Nursing Program Director.

clinical coordinators at each campus regarding forms and processes as needed.

Utilizes current trends and approaches to instruction in the clinical and simulate

environments (eg, informed by best practices, research in pedagogy, instructional

design, mode of delivery use of instructional materials, media, and technology). Member

of lnternational Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INASCL)

association.

other forms are updated for compliance with facilities.
