Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for an experienced Bridge Engineer to assist with our projects in Michigan!

Key Responsibilities

General understanding of bridge design, bridge inspection, and retaining wall design

Planning, development, and completion of other related structural engineering tasks will be required, conforming to standard MDOT practices.

Project assignments that will be primarily located in Michigan with additional out of state assignments possible

Preparing bridge layouts, material quantity calculations, and construction specs of all bridge types.

Checking on drawings from designers for quality / deficiencies.

Coordination with other engineering and technical staff.

Experience with project management including coordination with clients. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

8+ years of experience in Bridge Engineering

Must have Michigan PE license or ability to obtain by reciprocity

Experience with MDOT and/or MDOT LAP or Michigan Local Agency

AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design experience

MicroStation and OpenRoads experience required. Civil 3D is a plus!

AASHTOWare (BrR & BrD), Merlin Dash, MathCAD or other equivalent design and load rating software preferred.

Must be able to work independently and with others as a team member.

Communication skills are a must, as this will be in a teaming environment. Candidate must be able to work a hybrid schedule out of one of our Michigan or Ohio offices. This will consist of at least 2 days in office.
