Fleet Mechanic

Job Description

$51,500Responsibilities:

Complete preventive maintenance work on vehicles, including oil changes, air conditioning service, filling fluids, and replacing brake pads, spark plugs, and batteries

Inspect, test drive, and perform diagnostic tests to determine vehicle problems, parts needed for repairs, and necessary work

Maintain accurate customer records for vehicles’ repairs, parts, maintenance histories, and more

Collaborate with supervisors and fellow auto mechanics to diagnose and repair vehicles’ mechanical issues

Identify and address mechanical problems and malfunction codes found in the vehicle's electrical system, mechanical systems, and electronic systemsQualifications:

A valid driver’s license is necessary

Experience and manual dexterity using hand tools and other equipment is needed

Must be an effective communicator who maintains a solid work ethic

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Preferred education is an associate’s degree from a technical school or relevant automotive program and/or ASE certificationAbout Company
