Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team. The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and control of materials within our warehouse or production facility. This role ensures accurate inventory management and timely delivery of materials to support production and shipping schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Stocks and issue materials
Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records
Ensure the proper loading, unloading and handling of goods and materials by safely utilizing forklifts.
Validating the received materials and goods with the invoices and completing all required documentation
Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions.
Conduct Physical Counts and adjust inventory discrepancies
Investigate and resolve inventory issues, including discrepancies, damages, and losses.
Provide quality control by inspecting parts and removing any defective pieces.
Raise quality issues to the next level if quality is compromised
Counting, sorting, and weighing all inbound goods and authenticating the receipt of the same in accord with the packing slip
Inspecting the received goods, making note of any damages and discrepancies, and immediately reporting the same
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in inventory control or related experience and forklift experience
Previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing a plus
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and works with urgency
Strong time management skills, deadline and detail oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work with cross functional teams
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team environment.Company Description
