Job Description

Position Available: Server (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner), Bartenders

Location: The Curtiss Hotel is located at 210 Franklin St. Buffalo, NY 14202. Reliable transportation is a must.

Responsibilities:

Breakfast Servers are responsible for providing Curtiss Hotel guests with both the continental breakfast and also upselling our ala carte breakfast. Responsibilities include:

- Setting up breakfast buffet

- Putting out menus for ala carte breakfast

- Maintaining a clean environment from the breakfast bar to the tables and floors

- Assist guests with any special requests or accommodations they may need

- Breaking down breakfast bar and cleaning workspace after breakfast is complete.

Lunch and Dinner Servers are responsible for providing Chez Ami guests with a five star dining experience. Responsibilities include:

- Greeting guests and informing them about all specials, special dietary notices or 86’d items.

- Answering all guest questions regarding menu and drink items

- Upselling drink, appetizer and dessert options

- Accurately relaying all guest information to kitchen regarding orders, changes to menu items and allergy information

- Accurately charging guests for menu items, ensuring discounts are correct, split checks are processed properly.

- Completing light side work, opening and closing procedures that involve polishing glassware and silver and light cleaning.

Like servers, Bartenders are responsible for providing Chez Ami guests with a five star experience. Responsibilities include:

- Greeting guests and informing them about all specials, special dietary notices or 86’d items.

- Answering all guest questions regarding menu and drink items

- Upselling drink and food options

- Must have an acute knowledge of wine, liquors and spirits

- Must be able to follow recipes to ensure drinks are standard

- Accurately relaying all guest information to kitchen regarding orders, changes to menu items and allergy information

- Accurately charging guests for menu items, ensuring discounts are correct, split checks are processed properly.

- Completing light side work, opening and closing procedures that involve polishing glassware and silver and light cleaning.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent

- Well groomed, professional appearance

- Must have flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends and some holidays

Compensation: $10.35-15.50/hour plus tips. Benefits package includes paid sick time.

Part-time
