Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an experienced Barista Supervisor to support the hospitality and restaurant team at our gorgeous property, Sheraton Valley Forge. This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee shop, ensuring exceptional guest service and delivering high-quality coffee and beverages. The Barista Supervisor will also oversee a team of baristas, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive work environment and efficient operations.
The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.
Essential Functions
Oversee the daily operations of the coffee shop, including opening and closing procedures
Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffees, teas, and smoothies
Train, supervise, and schedule team of baristas, ensuring proper coverage and adherence to company policies and procedures
Responsible for inventory management, ordering, and stocking of supplies
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a timely and efficient manner
Assist in developing and implementing new menu items and promotions
Collaborate with other departments, such as food and beverage and events, to provide exceptional service to guests
Adhere to company standards of quality and service, striving to exceed guest expectations at all times
Qualifications
The Company may consider equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities cited below.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a coffee shop or restaurant setting
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and preparation
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Must be able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Must have a strong work ethic and be a team player
ServSafe or food safety certification preferred
