Apparel Product Test Engineer

We are seeking a Apparel Product Test Engineer to join a dynamic Global Apparel Development Standards team. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of apparel design by ensuring apparel, accessories, and equipment meet top-tier performance standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence product development through athlete feedback, rigorous testing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage various phases of the wear testing process—including test planning, participant recruitment, test execution, data analysis, and reporting.

Gather and translate athlete insights into actionable recommendations that support product innovation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in product creation to validate performance and durability at each stage of development.

Mentor and support fellow test analysts while driving internal initiatives that improve testing tools, techniques, and best practices.

Present test outcomes to internal stakeholders to help inform product decisions and elevate design quality.

Contribute to establishing new testing standards, processes, and training content for global application.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a science or apparel-related field

5+ years of experience in apparel wear testing, product validation, or related areas

Experience with test design, data collection, and quantitative/qualitative analysis

Solid understanding of the apparel development lifecycle

Ability to build rapport with athletes of varying experience levels—from professional to recreational

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a collaborative, innovative mindset

Familiarity with testing tools such as SPSS, Qualtrics, SigmaPlot, Airtable, EyeQuestion, or UserTesting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (or equivalent programs)

Knowledge in areas like psychometrics, sensory-perception, behavioral science, or motor learning/control is a plus
