Job Summary

Workbox Staffing is seeking a skilled Lead CNC Operator/Programmer to join our team. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate has experience with CNC programming, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Monitor and lead a production team

Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or other equipment) to produce precision metal parts.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining requirements.

Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.

Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues to ensure quality and efficiency.

Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).

Maintain detailed records of production runs and machine maintenance.

Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve machining processes and optimize efficiency.

Key Qualifications

Experience as a team lead or in a supervisory role

Experience in CNC machining and programming is required (G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or other CAD/CAM software).

Strong understanding of metal properties, machining processes, and tooling.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical documents.

Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

Ability to troubleshoot and optimize machine performance.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and automated systems is a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

Quality control certification

Preventative maintenance experience

Lean manufacturing knowledge

Bilingual (English/Spanish)
