$19 - $21 hourlyResponsibilities:
Drive a heavy-duty truck in Huntington, TX, US, to collect residential garbage while adhering to Live Oak Environmental Company, LLC Safety Rules, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
Conduct pre-and post-trip inspections on assigned equipment and document checks on a standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).
Promptly report any safety concerns or service-related issues to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch.
Actively participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Live Oak Environmental, LLC.
Collaborate with Route Supervisors/Managers to enhance route efficiencies and identify best practices.
Notify the Route Supervisor/Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
Report service interruptions such as blocked containers, closed lots, streets, or potential safety hazards to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch.
Relay customer requests promptly to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch.
Identify and report any damage or containers in need of repair.
Complete and submit all necessary customer tickets.
Follow route assignments diligently, and complete end-of-day documentation, and the check-out process as instructed.
Assist other drivers as directed by the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch to meet customer needs.Qualifications:
Education is not mandatory for this position.
The candidate should have at least two (2) years of experience operating a vehicle that requires a CDL.
Holding a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with an air brake endorsement is necessary.
The applicant must be a minimum of 18 years old.
A clean driving record is a prerequisite.
The candidate must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and DOT physical is required.
The job entails working a 10-hour shift during the day with overtime and potential weekend shifts.
