Infosys is seeking a Hadoop Admin. In this role, you will enable digital transformation for our clients in a global delivery model, research on technologies independently, recommend appropriate solutions and contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. You will be responsible to interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. Required Qualifications:

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 4 years of Information Technology experience

At least 2 years of experience in Hadoop Administration and System/Unix administration activities

Should be able to manage Big Data components/frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm, HBase, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Pig, Hive, Sqoop, Flume, Ozie, Avro, etc.

Strong understanding of distributed computing principles and big data technologies

Experience with large-scale high-performance distributed systems like Hadoop, NoSQL or Spark

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with DevOps principals and CI/CD

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with No-SQL databases such as HBase, Cassandra, or MongoDB

Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, or Spark Streaming

Experience working with Hadoop ecosystem building data assets at an enterprise scale

Experience in Banking domain

Strong communication and Analytical skills

Ability to work in teams in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment comprising of Business and Technology teams

Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
