Position Overview

Powers & Sons Construction is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join our Indianapolis team. The ideal candidate will provide on-site leadership for construction projects from groundbreaking to completion, ensuring that all work meets our high standards for quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

Provide daily on-site supervision of subcontractors and direct labor personnel

Coordinate project schedules and activities with the project management team

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications

Review construction drawings and documents to plan work activities

Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks throughout all project phases

Maintain accurate daily logs of site activities, progress, and potential issues

Coordinate material deliveries and manage on-site inventory

Facilitate effective communication between office staff, field personnel, subcontractors, and clients

Identify and resolve construction issues promptly to minimize delays

Participate in client meetings and provide regular project status updates

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction

Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and industry standards

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints

Proficiency with construction management software and MS Office applications

OSHA 30-hour certification (required)

First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)

Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
