Heavy Equipment Operator (Earthwork and Utilities)

Job Description

We are a civil construction company operating within the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with a focus on earthwork and utilities. We are looking for a qualified heavy equipment operator to fill a role within our team. Qualified candidates will have operating knowledge of multiple heavy equipment machines including a motor grader, an excavator, and a dozer.

Responsibilities, Skills and Qualifications

Take work plan direction from foreman/superintendent and execute in the field.

Craft team leadership

Leading project safety culture

Must be able to read and interpret construction documents and direct proper construction techniques ensuring a safe and quality build.

Must be capable of operating heavy equipment at a rough grade ability level, as needed. Finish grade preferred.

Must be able to track and manage field production accounts, daily.

Inspect work daily.

Excellent self-starter

Trustworthy person with strength of character

Positive attitude and temperament

Attention to detail.

5 years of experience leading earthwork, wet utility, or concrete crews.

Problem solving skills.

Bilingual preferred.
