SkyWater Search Partners is partnering with a private equity-backed, fast-growing organization to hire a Director of Human Resources. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and drive the company’s HR strategy while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the leadership team, the Director of HR will oversee an HR team of three and ensure that human resources programs and initiatives support the company’s rapid growth, align with its business objectives, and foster a positive workplace culture.
The Director of HR will develop and implement strategies that attract, retain, and grow top talent, while refining policies and processes to ensure operational efficiency. This role requires managing compliance with employment laws and regulations, enhancing employee engagement, and building scalable HR programs that align with the company’s dynamic needs. Ideal candidates will have experience balancing strategic direction with hands-on HR operations and thrive in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. Based in Albert Lea, MN, this position offers a hybrid work arrangement requiring three days per week onsite. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a dedicated HR team, providing mentorship and direction.
Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits, HRIS, compliance, and reporting.
Enhance the employee experience by managing onboarding, retention initiatives, and exit processes.
Oversee recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of top talent.
Drive the performance management process to support professional development and achievement of company goals.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and facilitate training and development opportunities to grow employees and leaders.
Desired Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in HR, business management, or related field.
5+ years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Proven ability to lead a team of HR professionals effectively.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, and compliance.
Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
Experience fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Professional HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.
