Responsibilities:
Design and perform calculations of structural steel and concrete structures.
Maintain and organize drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Coordinate with other disciplines i.e., architectural, mechanical, electrical, to ensure coordination of construction documents.
Review shop drawing submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate with PM, Architect, Design Professionals, other disciplines, Owner, Contractors to ensure necessary processes will be supported.
Communicate scope changes to PM/supervisor and project team.
Conduct site visits for field measuring and verification of existing conditions.
Maintain continuing professional education in discipline.
Take part in client contact and business development opportunities
Meet with clients to determine project scope.
May supervise, coordinate, or review the work of a team of engineers.
Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
PE or SE license or be willing to obtain.
Five years of related experience in the structural engineering field focusing on Industrial facility design.
Understanding of Structural engineering processes and principles for creation of design documents, drawings, and models.
Understanding of applicable design standards and building codes.
Technical knowledge of structural computer programs - Experienced in MS Office programs, Bluebeam, Risa, RAM Steel, SAP 2000, Autodesk software, knowledge of Revit.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
