Network Engineer

Long Term Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of complex enterprise data network solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in TCP/IP, routing, switching, and Cisco network infrastructure. This position plays a vital role in maintaining and evolving a robust and cost-effective network that meets the growing demands of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, test, implement, and continuously improve enterprise network solutions.
Configure Cisco IOS software and integrate new network hardware (routers, switches) into the existing infrastructure.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams, documentation, and configurations for all network devices.
Prepare detailed engineering job packages including parts lists, drawings, network diagrams, and configurations.
Ensure designs are cost-effective while delivering high-performance and reliable services to business users.
Develop and submit cost estimates for network installations and upgrades as needed.
Stay current with emerging networking technologies and tools.
Procure, activate, and troubleshoot both private and public WAN circuits.
Collaborate across IT teams to deliver end-to-end network solutions that meet business requirements.
Qualifications:
5–7 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years of experience in the design and support of Cisco network solutions.
Strong understanding of communication technologies and networking fundamentals.
Proficiency in TCP/IP, Cisco IOS, and enterprise-level routing and switching.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Experience coordinating projects across multiple departments and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cisco certifications: CCNA, CCDA desired; CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE preferred.
Hands-on experience with:
Cisco routers, switches, ACS, wireless controllers, access points, and VPN concentrators
Routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, EIGRP
Technologies including Layer 3 Switching, GRE, HSRP, GLBP, IPSEC, SSL, AAA, SNMP
Familiarity with designing secure and scalable networks within a large enterprise environment.
