Compensation: $40,000 – $50,000/year + bonus

Launch your drafting career as a CAD Operator with our client in Columbus, OH, supporting construction and civil engineering projects. This full-time, on-site role offers the chance to work closely with engineers, field teams, and clients to produce accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. You’ll transform concepts into detailed plans, maintain compliance with industry standards, and contribute to timely and successful project delivery.
Responsibilities as the CAD Operator:
Drafting & Design: Create precise technical drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D based on engineering specs and field data.
Collaboration: Work with engineers and clients to align designs with project goals and feedback.
Plan Development: Transform sketches into detailed construction documents, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Document Control: Manage drawing revisions and maintain organized CAD project files.
Standards Compliance: Ensure all drawings meet industry standards, safety codes, and regulations.
Software Proficiency: Stay updated on CAD software and design standards to maximize efficiency and quality.
Qualifications for the CAD Operator:
Education: Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting, CAD, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience drafting for construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with working knowledge of related drafting tools and CAD file management systems.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, building codes, and construction documentation standards.
Skills & Attributes: Strong communicator with excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
Travel: Willingness to travel between offices or job sites as needed.
