Director of Engineering
Description:
The Engineering Director is of crucial strategic and technical importance in the company.
The Engineering Director will be responsible for ensuring the department’s efficiency and effectiveness through the setting of departmental objectives, requirements, and timeframes and research innovative technologies for improving performance. Leading both people management and technical execution.
Additionally, manage the department’s budgeting and expenses, oversee the development of engineering products/equipment and processes, and establish strategies that aim to improve overall business success.
The Engineering Director maintains a collaborative relationship with internal departments and divisions, as well as external suppliers and vendors, to ensure the company delivers the highest quality designs, products, and services.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in a relevant engineering field.
20+ years of work experience in an engineering environment, delivering automotive components.
10+ years of experience in a management role.
Possesses knowledge and experience in the engineering process, automotive interior electronics, and OEM process.
