Top Three Skills:8+ Years of Experience with:
1. Microsoft SQL Server
2. T-SQL
3. Stored Procedures, Database Design and Development
Nice to Have: SSRS/PowerBI
**They need to be Rock Solid in SQL Server Administration**
This person needs to be able to/will be expected to do the following:
- Creates and maintains basic to moderately complex database systems for the benefit of internal and external customers.
- Provides initial unit testing of all database development and enhancements with the goal of providing a stable production environment while optimized for end-user performance.
- Utilizes change management software and follow all change management processes.
- Manage foundational data administration tasks such as scheduling jobs, troubleshooting job errors, identifying issues with job windows, database backups and performance tuning
- Create or update technical documentation
- Learns key processes that support the database environment. Shadows team members to learn existing processes; uses tools necessary to learn and document those processes with the goal of being able to play a role in a production support rotation.
- Provides after-hours and weekend support as required.
- Proactively pursues development opportunities, learns existing environment and processes and exhibits progress on learning plan. Identifies development opportunities and works with manager to establish learning focus and learning plan.
