As a Infrastructure Specialist you will seek to enhance the current operation and work with us towards our future infrastructure.

The Vopak Global IT organization is the main supplier of IT services for Vopak business units worldwide and the Dutch headquarters. Vopak Global IT consists of four departments: Network Services, Operational Services, Agile Services and Digital Innovation. All these departments drive the innovation and digitization of Vopak and the maintenance of the current IT landscape. This position is within the Operational Services department with the IT/OT Infrastructure Services team.

You will be part of an infrastructure team with an agile way of working. The goal is to deliver global hybrid infrastructure services for a global 24x7 operating company. The team challenges are to maintain and improve the current installed base of physical and virtual infrastructures across the globe and in the meanwhile further extend our cloud based virtual datacenter solution to deliver new fully automated infrastructure services.

What do we offer you?

A gross salary between €25K- €40K depending on your experience, knowledge and seniority in the role

What are the key responsibilities?

You will become part of the current transition to a virtual datacenter and taking infrastructure automation to a higher level;

Secure and improve our current infra services and support the further development and implementation of our new cloud based infrastructure;

Take care of lifecycle management and secure environment control;

Take care of technical maintenance;

What do we expect from you as an Infrastructure Specialist?

An energetic Infrastructure Specialist who welcomes the challenge of a complex hosting environment with technical challenging global business projects. You also have:

Minimum Bsc educational level in Information Technology or similar;

Minimum of 2 years working experience in virtual or (hybrid) cloud environments;

Excellent verbal and communicative skills in English;

Drive and motivation for continuous improvements and opportunities and a drive to establish preventive controls to minimize disruption;

Experience with new technologies and eager to find new solutions and enhancements;

Preferable skill set:

Platform knowledge i.e. Windows Server, Powershell, Linux (pré), Monitoring tooling (e.g. Zabbix), Cloud (preferably AWS); Nutanix, SCCM and Veaam.

Preferably knowledge of infra configuration management tools like AWS CloudFormation;
