We are seeking Interns to join our team at the Crisis Center.
This employment-based internship is based out of our Green Bay location for students pursuing their Master's degree in human services related programs.
As an intern, you will provide counseling services for consumers in need of emergency mental health services; assess consumer functioning and implementation of an appropriate short-term treatment plan developed in tandem with the consumer and designed to meet their short-term physical and mental health needs; provide in-depth professional evaluations and assessments for situations including mental health (anxiety, depression, safety, etc.) basic needs (food, shelter, clothing, safety), substance abuse, relationship issues (parent-child conflict, marital counseling, couples counseling) behavioral issues (runaway, anger management), and other crises of daily living.
Qualifications Education: Required: Pursuing a Master's degree in a Human Services program Preferred: N/A Experience: Required: None Preferred: Previous experience with individuals in crisis.
Experience in counseling or other direct services.
Skills and Competencies: Excellent organizational skills; communication, interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and presentation.
Ability to perform and coordinate multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision.
Typing and data entry skills.
Experience in Word, Excel programs.
Proper English usage, spelling and English composition are required.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with reliable personal vehicle.
Maintain required auto insurance and acceptable driving record requirements.
