The Project

UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.

We are looking for a Supervisor – Tower Assembly & Erection to join our team onsite.

HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.

The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.

What will a day in this role look like:

5 years’ experience in similar role

Trade Qualification

Supervisor Certificate

Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally

Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands

Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Access, email

About You

Extensive years construction quality and/or completions experience

Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related to management systems

ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor

Trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or transmission)

Proven inspector of final product and/or service and previous experience in quality function in renewable/utility EPCM projects is advantageous

Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands

Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.

Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environment compliance on site
