About the job

Maret Access

Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive market access strategies through the integration of pricing and reimbursement, health technology assessment, evidence-based medicine review, and health economic modeling activities

Foster the designing, developing, and implementing an integrated approach to all aspects of the payer value proposition from early development through and beyond loss of exclusivity

Work collectively with payers, including HTA, reimbursement influencers and other decision makers. Lead the communication of the unique attributes of the therapeutic area drugs/medical devices to external multi-stakeholders to ensure the drug's/device's value proposition will be recognized and maximize market uptake

Build strong relationships with health economic opinion leaders, reimbursement agencies, and medical associations

Secure reimbursement for products through timely preparation of submissions, effective understanding of local processes and networking with key stakeholders

Public Affairs

Lead and foster strategic stakeholder relationships with government and politicians, government agencies, industry groups and advocacy groups to facilitate mutual understanding and alignment for long-term business success and patients' benefits

Drive thought leadership and maximize impact in shaping the external environment by ensuring appropriate representation in and engagement with trade associations, advocacy organizations, international forums and non-traditional stakeholders. Strategically build and strengthen Novo Nordisk's credibility externally and seat at the table in key government initiative and discussions

Develop an in-depth understanding of the drivers for each of the five key stakeholder groups: physicians, patients, providers, the payers and the policy makers. Contribute to the development of short and long-term commercial strategy by providing insights on external landscape analysis from perspectives of government and policy impact. Prioritize government affairs and policy opportunities aligned to each TA's business growth and in strengthening Novo Nordisk's reputation, based on deep understanding of business insights

Provide advice on governmental issues to develop contingent strategies business and or crisis management

Proactively work with both internal and external stakeholders on all legislative and regulatory matters from policy development, interpretation and implementation that are relevant to Novo Nordisk

Establish strong working relationships and communications with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent alignment of goals and priorities in a collaborative manner

Disease and Product Communication

Oversee communication strategy covering all therapy areas and the complete product portfolio's value propositions in a consistent and qualitative way for ensuring maximum SoV and traction. Ensure all strategies and messaging aligns with key business strategies and market access and public affairs objectives

Identify new opportunities for growth and expansion through innovative communication approaches

People Leading and Business Ethics

Lead the team through an entrepreneurial mindset and spirit. Inspire the team to explore, innovate and test in unknown territories

Develop and lead the team through performance management, coaching and continuous training to upskill and build competencies

Works according to business ethic procedures, local law, NNWay and NN policies and guidelines

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, Master is preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English

10+ years' experience in the health care industry

Minimum 5 years of people leading experience with proven success track record

Experience in working with political systems and healthcare policy issues

Have extensive experience in formulating and leading significant issues management and government relations

Experience with analytical and creative approach to policy issues

Global vision & strategic thinking

Deep understanding of the political system and policy development processes.

Proven ability to master complex regulatory and policy issues, and to translate them into clear strategies and actions that are relevant to Novo Nordisk businesses.

High level of strategic thinking, business acumen, strong analytical skills combined with critical and creative thinking.

Proven coalition-building and external representation and negotiation skills

Extensive experiences in leading and influencing cross-functional teams of experts, and ability to engage and influence senior executives in a clear and concise manner

Be highly articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to work in a dynamic ambitious environment and thrive within a high pace environment and work through ambiguity and navigate a matrix environment
