CNC Programmer I CNC Machinist

Position Summary for the CNC Programmer I CNC Machinist:

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer (2D Programming or 3D Programming) or CNC Machinist specializing in either Prototype Sheet Metal, Aerospace, Defense or Automotive

Shift Times for this Position:

1st Shift: 6:00AM to 2:30PM (8 Hour Days) and 6:00AM to 4:30PM (10 Hour Days) must be open to working up until 4:30 when needed. - (Monday – Friday & day on Saturday)

2nd Shift (Flexible Start Time): 2:30PM – 4:30PM to 10:30PM – 2:30AM (Varies Between Start time and if we are working 8 Hours or 10 Hours) - (Monday – Friday & day on Saturday)

3rd Shift (Flexible Start Time: 9:30PM-11:30PM to 5:30AM-7:30AM (Varies Between Start time and if we are working 8 Hours or 10 Hours) - (Monday – Friday & day on Saturday)

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Program and operate CNC Mills and Lathes to manufacture parts based on engineering drawings and specifications.

Edit and optimize CNC programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency in machining operations.

Perform tool changes during shifts, typically 1 to 3 times, to maintain production flow.

Work with multi-axis CNC machines, including 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis systems.

Ensure parts meet specified tolerances, typically ranging from +/- .1 to +/- .005.

Conduct inspections and sign off on work packages to verify part quality.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols and manufacturing best practices.

Collaborate with engineers and machinists to resolve programming or machining issues.

Troubleshoot and modify programs to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime.

Brand of CNC’s: Mazak, OKK, Okuma, HAAS, Doosan, Citizen, Fadel, Fidia, Cincinnati, DMG Mori, Hardinge, MAG, Trumpf and More

Controls on CNC’s: Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol, HAAS, OSP Okuma and More

AXIS of CNC’s: 3 AXIS, 4 AXIS or 4 AXIS

Materials Machining: Aluminum, Invar, Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Galvanized Steel, Sheet Metal, Titanium, Kirksite and More

Programs Utilizing (2D Programming or 3D Programming): Mastercam, Work NC, Power Mill, Power Shape, G&M Code, Tebis, Fusion 360 and More

Compensation Range:

Hourly: $30.00 to $50.00

Time and a Half of Hourly Range after 40 Hours

Double Time of Hourly Range on Sundays
