In the role of Bridge Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects
Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff
Independently coordinated the work of engineers and balanced the planning team throughout the entire project's development
Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings
Track the financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work efforts with the team to ensure that work is completed within the agreed-to-schedule parameters.
Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice
Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure the completion of documents on schedule
Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable-stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects
Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, perform structural load calculations, and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
Review, assign work, and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs
Mentor younger staff and support continued development

PMP certification

10 years of Caltrans Bridge Design Experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California

Prestress Concrete Design
CIP Concrete design
Strong organizational, listening, and mentoring skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments
Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
7 years related experience
A minimum 2 years project management experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license
MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
Demonstrated leadership skills
