Job Summary:

$7,500 Sign on! (Designated Weekends-Fri, Sat, Sunday 8:30am-9:00pm)

Follow established pediatric scanning protocols and document required information.

Document shielding on all patients13-years-oldand younger.

Active knowledge of all CT and radiographic procedures, performing proficiently as ordered by physician.

Properly position and instruct patients for exam.

Perform mobile and surgical radiography safely and accurately.

Protect self and others from undue radiation exposure.

Assist physician as needed with fluoroscopy and XR/CT sterile procedures.

Adjust CT parameters and imaging techniques as needed to achieve the most diagnostic study.

Perform venipuncture and IV maintenance and prepare and administer contrast according to established guidelines.

Ensure correct images and documentation are in place in PACS system and available for interpretation.

Transport patients as needed and communicate appropriate hand-off communication with nursing staff.

Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.

Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.

Qualifications

Education:

ARRT registered graduate of approved school. One year experience in radiology or related field necessary to gain familiarity with processes and procedures in radiology.

Experience:

Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with patients, patients' families, visitors, salesmen, and general public; must possess knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiology equipment.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

Communication skills, computer skills, task-orientated, and organization are required. Familiarity with the operation of all x-ray equipment and computers is preferred. Interpersonal skills are necessary in order to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress to gather and exchange patient information with nursing personnel and physicians.
