Company Description:
Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver). A third facility in Longmont, CO (a suburb of Denver) provides in-house repair and fabrication of tools & dies.

What you’ll do:
Direct QA personnel; assign work, review performance, and provide coaching/counseling as needed
Facilitate all necessary quality meetings; attend production meetings
Acts as client quality liaison, oversee the receiving & sampling of parts, analyze/review data to be sent to customers, perform 8D corrective actions, assist during customer audits and Quality Certification Audits
Participate in engineering design/tolerance reviews, APQP, PPAP process and make print change recommendations to the customer
Research and resolve production quality issues; evaluate potential rejects and take corrective action
Establish all in process inspection plans
Use continuous improvement to implement preventive versus reactive quality techniques
Maintain company specified quality certifications; oversee the auditing and arrange schedule on a timely basis; conduct plant wide training
Work with process owners to establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system
Act as company QMS representative
Organize and train personnel in proactive approaches with Total Quality Management (TQM) and other quality methods
Develop and distribute quality related KPIs, such COPQ
Maintain production control plans/job books/IQMS up to date with current revisions
Oversee the establishment of quality plans that ensure meeting customers’ expectations
Perform other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent job experience
Knowledge of injection molding and/or thermoforming business
Knowledge of ISO, IATF, AS9100 elements
Computer literate
DOE, FMEA, PPAP, SPC
Quality cost principles knowledge
Technical writing skills
Project Management skills
Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task and prioritize
