As a Compliance Monitoring and Assurance Officer you’ll be supporting and assisting with the creation of internal operational procedures and policies, as well as providing incident management to internal departments by assisting 3rd party service providers with the investigation and resolution of software technical covering. This will help us excel at identifying project requirements and assisting with key compliance deliverables to stay ahead of the game.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
Conduct regular monitoring of company operations to ensure compliance with gaming regulations, anti-money laundering ( AML) requirements, and internal policies.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements to mitigate risks.
Maintain an up-to-date compliance framework in alignment with changing regulatory requirements.
Audit and Risk Management:
Perform compliance audits to identify gaps, assess risks, and ensure adherence to standards.
Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations and correction plans.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve audit findings and mitigate compliance risks.
Regulatory Adherence:
Stay informed about current gaming regulations, licensing requirements and industry standards.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of reports, licenses, and certifications.
Oversee the resolution of compliance breaches and ensure appropriate reporting the regulators.
Policy Implementation and Training:
Assist in developing, updating and enforcing compliance policies and procedures.
Deliver training programs to employees, ensuring an understanding of regulatory obligations and compliance best practices.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate compliance records, including audit findings, incident reports, and corrective actions.
Prepare periodic compliance reports for Senior Management and regulatory authorities.
Track key compliance metrics and contribute to the organizations risk management strategy.
Support and Advisory Role:
Act as a compliance advisor to business units, providing insights and recommendations based on current company operations.
Collaborate with cross -functional teams to align compliance efforts with business objectives.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes while maintaining compliance standards.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a strong compliance or audit background.
Proven track record of monitoring compliance within a regulated environment.
Relevant Tertiary Qualification i.e. Law, Audit etc.
Extensive knowledge of gaming regulations, AML frameworks, and industry standards.
Familiarity with the company’s business operations, risk profile, and regulatory landscape.
Previous Operational Compliance, Risk and Compliance experience within the organization.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and identify risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders and regulators effectively.
Proficiency in compliance monitoring tools, ie: Risk Connect, Reporting systems, and MS office Suite.
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
Experience or knowledge of the online gambling industry
Experience working on a ERM system.
High ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive information.
Detail – oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Proactive problem -solver with ability to manage multiple priorities.
