Job Description Summary:
As a Cloud/DevOps Senior Software Engineer with Rocket Software, you are part of a global, fast-paced software organization with a primary mission to provide world class service to developing/maintaining/supporting CI/CD pipelines on prem and on cloud. You will partner and work closely with several product teams to ensure performance and security of our infrastructure, and to assist incident management or application maintenance. In this role, you will facilitate application upgrades, build infrastructure enhancements as well as manage ongoing tasks.

As a Cloud/DevOps Senior Software Engineer you will have a pivotal role in enabling and shaping this transformation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Develop, maintain and migrate build scripts from Ant to Maven
Manage and optimize infrastructure on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Maintain and enhance Containers and Kubernetes clusters, including deployments, scaling, and monitoring.
Manage and optimize Git repositories and branching strategies for efficient development workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues to ensure system reliability.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployments and performance.
Implement DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, vulnerability management and compliance monitoring across CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of software engineering experience
Strong experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, and networking.
Expertise in Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.
Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.
Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, scaling, and deployment.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Groovy or similar languages.
Solid understanding of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex, less-defined projects.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Administer and maintain Maven repositories Configure repository access, permissions, and retention policies.
Ensure proper versioning and dependency management.
Establish best practices for publishing, retrieving, and archiving artifacts.
Enforce dependency version control strategies (e.g., snapshot vs. release versions).
Clean up unused or outdated artifacts to optimize storage.
Integrate Maven repositories with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo, etc.
Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or other automation tools.
Automate artifact publishing and retrieval in build and deployment workflows.
Troubleshoot build failures related to dependency issues.
Optimize dependency resolution times and caching mechanisms.
Experience in maintaining build infrastructure, Jenkins build nodes and related tools, including compilers and runtime libraries on Windows, Linux and z/OS.
Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools usign Terraform, CloudFormation or equivalent tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Maintain and migrate gradle build scripts to Maven.
Maintain security scan (BlackDuck, Polaris) and code signing facilities on those build nodes.
Manage Artifactory repository infrastructures, dependencies, and accesses.
Support release rollout processes.
Be able to support Windows, z/OS build nodes.
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and containerized environments.
Familiarity with database management and optimization.
Experience with observability tools and performance tuning.
MSBuild, .Net build tools, PowerShell.
Education:
Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Annual salary range for this position is between €52,500.00 - €97,500.00 gross before taxes.
