This individual is a healthcare professional who possesses advanced knowledge in direct patient care as a physician. The physician is responsible for promoting critical thinking skills, development, competency, professionalism, teamwork, and customer service. This individual must be self-motivated and self-directed in all related areas and promote a working environment that is positive and encourages high morale.
Education:
Certificate for completion of medical school. Completion of residency program where applicable. Current licensure in the State of West Virginia required. Must have current BLS & ACLS.
Prescriptive Privileges:
Comply with West Virginia Code related to attaining and maintaining limited prescriptive privileges.
Experience:
Completion of residency/internship with direct patient care contact. Ability to perform procedures as credentialed and other direct patient care activities.
Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, staff and other health care providers. Ability to use equipment needed for a thorough physical examination. Behaviors which reflect understanding, emotional stability, patience, tact and consideration for individual differences.
