Role Overview

Otis is growing and is looking for a Technical Assistant located in Brunei.

Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders by safely maintaining a portfolio of elevator and escalator units.

Duties:

Check the quality of lift/ escalator before adjustment, issue the defect list in detail for rectification (by sub con).

Perform the testing and commissioning according to Otis standard.

Strictly comply to Otis EH&S rules & Code of Ethics.

Repair the lifts during construction use, do the temporary maintenance if required.

Support during the government testing, handover to the owner (training).

Carry out mechanical adjustment, troubleshooting, testing of safety devices on equipment where necessary.

Connect electrical wiring to control panels and electric motors.

Inspect wiring connections, control panel, door installation, and alignment and clearance of car hoistway.

Advise the customer about the lift requirement (such as: power, wires).

Support SVC FOD in repairing the lift / escalator in difficult cases.

Train the mechanics, join the seminar to share the experiences.

Self-improve the knowledge through the technical document in English.

Travel to provinces to do the adjustment, repairing works in a required period.

Take other duties as assigned by higher levels.

Requirement:

College/University graduate in Engineering, Technical, Automation.

At least 2-3 years of field experience in elevator/escalator industry.

Having a good understanding and compliance with safety procedures.

Having a good customer service mindset to bring an excellent Otis customer service to customers.

Having a positive, teamwork & growth mindset.

Ability to communicate in English.
