Role Description

In the shared services setting of Dover Business Services, the Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for

managing supplier invoices, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with company policies, as measured

by service level agreements and key performance indicators. This role involves processing various types

of invoices, resolving discrepancies, maintaining organized documentation, and communicating

effectively with stakeholders. The analyst also prepares reports to support financial planning, ensures

compliance with regulations, and surfaces opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities

• Invoice Management: Review, verify, process supplier invoices and related documents for

accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures and maintain

productivity and meet service level agreements. Perform exception invoice processing, including

non-PO invoices, emergency payments and other check requests, while maintaining appropriate

documentation and adhering to company policies and processes.

• Discrepancy Resolution: Understand invoice matching errors, perform standard corrective actions

remediate issues within one’s area of concern. Execute minor adjustments to work methods to

solve problems.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all invoices and related

documentation.

• Communication: Communicate effectively with OpCo contacts, internal stakeholders, suppliers to

address any issues or inquiries.

• Reporting: Prepare and analyze relevant accounts payable reports to support financial planning and

decision-making.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies in all accounts

payable activities.

• Continuous Improvement: Surface opportunities for process improvements and support

implementation of best practices to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in Accounts Payable or similar role.

• Skills &/or Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in ERP and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry- specific regulations and compliance requirements.

• High level of customer focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where

limited standardization exists

• Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment

• Self-directed, positive and ethical role model able to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with customer and coworkers by fully observing
