Description
• Compiles and records production data for a maintenance and industrial environment to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
• Performs any combination of the following duties:
• Direct supervision of technicians and skilled personnel.
• Trains, develops and supports staff personnel.
• Compiles and records production data from documents such as customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
• May calculate factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and worker and department production rates.
• Produces reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed.
• May record and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
• Sorts and distributes work tickets or material to workers.
• Assists in the development of standard labor and materials estimates for various maintenance tasks, including life cycle costing analyses.
• Models potential production capacities under varying budgetary conditions and provides detailed analyses.
• Generates work orders and schedules maintenance for a variety of tasks simultaneously to achieve optimal production levels for maintenance bays and shops throughout the various shop departments.
• Plans and monitors the availability of parts and materials inventory needed for use in scheduled and projected maintenance production through use of the automated inventory control system.
• Monitors the status of ongoing maintenance operations, and updates work schedules accordingly.
• Coordinates special projects and maintenance campaigns at the Annex level.
• Resolves routine and unusual production problems related to the scheduling of maintenance tasks, staging of parts, and materials usage and availability.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in scheduling and maintenance planning.
• Must be knowledgeable of Production control methods and standards and workflow of maintenance.
• Must be proficient in MAXIMO and Microsoft Office Programs.
• Must be able to analyze and report on data relative to the operation of maintenance and transportation operational functions and interpret Service Work order requests.
• Must have excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
• Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with persons acting under stress.
DESIRED:
An associate’s degree, successful completion of two (2) years of post-secondary technical instruction with major coursework in engineering, statistics, or other analytical disciplines, or equivalent.
