Why This Job
The OpEx Manager position will report to Director of Manufacturing Excellence in the Engineering, Technology, and Innovation Group. The position will work as a leader in one of CMC’s Lines of Businesses (areas) including Recycling, Fabrication, Impact Metals, Tensar, Maintenance, and Mills to share Best Practices across all locations and drive consistency in safety, practices, and product quality.
Work will be performed both remotely and at manufacturing locations. Travel to locations will be planned but some unplanned travel may occur when operational emergencies arise.
The position will involve developing and leading safety and operating initiatives with a team of subject matter experts at CMC facilities and implementing the initiatives across CMC locations.

What You'll Do
Leading OpEx groups in monthly Teams meetings
Developing and preparing weekly/monthly operational reports for the OpEx area / Line of Business
Developing a running list with priorities of initiatives/projects to improve safety, consistency, and quality in OpEx area
Benchmarking best practices and standardizing across manufacturing facilities
Return value through continuous process improvement
Keeping up to date on latest technologies and practices around the US and world and sharing new technologies with our manufacturing teams
What You'll Need
10+ years working in manufacturing environments in one or lines of business of CMC
Ability to prepare a project execution plan including timeline, order-of-magnitude budget, and presentation material
Ability to travel up to 50% to CMC facilities, industry technical conferences, and equipment supplier offices
Ability to organize, multi-task and manage multiple projects across multiple locations simultaneously
Experience working in several manufacturing facilities with a variety of equipment
Experience leading change in manufacturing environments for safety, efficiency improvements, or equipment upgrades
Your Education
High School Diploma or GED required
