Positions Overview:

RNGD is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in New Orleans, LA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure and pipelines. This position is an in-office position Monday- Friday located in Metairie, Louisiana.This role is crucial in establishing a robust data architecture that enables efficient data flow between applications, supports analytical capabilities, and drives data-driven decision making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines for efficient data processing and integration Develop automated workflows to ensure reliable data movement between various systems and applications Monitor pipeline performance and implement optimizations as needed

Data Architecture: Create and maintain logical data models that support business requirements Design and implement database schemas that optimize data storage and retrieval

System Integration: Build and maintain data integrations via APIs using CRUD commands between existing applications Implement ELT processes to consolidate data from multiple sources Ensure seamless data flow while maintaining data integrity and security

Database Management: Structure and optimize databases to support reporting and data applications Implement best practices for database maintenance and performance tuning Create and maintain documentation for database structures and data flows

Technical Implementation:Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for data manipulation and extraction Develop Python scripts for automation and data processing Implement cloud-based solutions utilizing Azure services

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Strong proficiency in Snowflake SQL and database management

Proven experience in Python programming for data engineering tasks

Experience running CRUD commands in APIs

Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure

Demonstrated ability to design and implement ELT pipelines and integrations

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Excellent understanding of data modeling and database design principles

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data warehouse design and implementation

Knowledge of modern data engineering tools and frameworks

Familiarity with construction industry software and data systems

Experience with version control systems and CI/CD practices

Professional certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Snowflake Data Engineer)
