Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bindery Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the finishing process of printed materials, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of various bindery processes, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality control.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain bindery equipment including cutters, folders, and stitchers.
Perform quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with the prepress team to understand job specifications and layout designs.
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for layout adjustments as needed.
Manage color management processes to ensure print accuracy.
Assist in the setup and operation of screen printing tasks when required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
Operate forklifts for material handling as necessary.
Qualifications
Proficiency in typography and print advertising principles.
Experience with quality control processes in a printing environment.
Familiarity with prepress procedures and layout design techniques.
Knowledge of color management systems is preferred.
Ability to operate various bindery equipment safely and efficiently.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable.
Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
