Job Purpose

Responsible for maintaining solid customer relationships by representing excellent communication abilities and data entry skills. Customer Service Representative is responsible for all work done in accordance with company policies. The successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for effectively solving client issues, complaints and inquiries, keeping client satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Respond to customer inquiries regarding pick ups, deliveries, POD’s and general shipment status.

· Actively update necessary information into our operating system.

· Proactively communicate potential service delays to our customers.

· Preparation and regular updating of customer specific reports.

· Bid on spot freight via online portals and emails.

· Enter loads into TMS systems and confirm notes about the status of shipments.

· Track pickup and delivery arrivals/departures of carriers. Communicate any delays or issues to appropriate contact.

· Set pickup and delivery appointments.

· Collect required paperwork, PODs.

· Communicate with customers, carriers and colleagues respectfully.Requirements:

Qualifications

· High school or equivalent.

· 3 years of customer service experience.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

· Extremely detail oriented, highly organized and an ability to handle multiple tasks

· Knowledge of logistics and the trucking industry preferred.
