Job Description

Cowboy Supply House is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver to join our team in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In this dual role, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse and the timely delivery of products to our valued customers who rely on us for their cowboy and ranching needs. You will be responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks and will also operate company vehicles to make local deliveries throughout the region.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations (Approximately 60% of Time):

Receive and process incoming shipments of cowboy supplies and ranching equipment, verifying quantities and inspecting for damage.

Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly selected and securely packaged.

Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring efficient storage and accessibility of saddles, tack, apparel, tools, and other supplies.

Load and unload trucks, both manually and with the use of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack - if applicable and training provided).

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, reflecting the pride we take in our products.

Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.

Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations within the warehouse.

Delivery Operations (Approximately 40% of Time):

Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles (trucks, vans) to deliver goods, ranging from small packages to larger equipment, to customer locations (ranches, homes, businesses).

Plan and follow the most efficient routes throughout the Casper area and surrounding regions to ensure timely deliveries.

Load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle, ensuring items, especially delicate or valuable cowboy gear, are handled with care.

Obtain delivery confirmations and signatures from customers, often building relationships with our loyal clientele.

Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, answering questions about products or delivery status in a friendly and helpful manner.

Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies, representing Cowboy Supply House professionally on the road.

Collect payments from customers, if required, and ensure accurate handling of funds, providing receipts as necessary.

Communicate any delivery delays or issues to the warehouse or customer service team promptly.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (must meet company insurance requirements).

Proven experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, especially familiarity with handling a variety of goods.

Experience with local delivery driving in and around the Casper area is a plus, understanding the local roads and customer base.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus (if applicable).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in both warehouse tasks and deliveries.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [Weight] lbs) on a regular basis, as some cowboy and ranching supplies can be substantial.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, representing Cowboy Supply House positively in all interactions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, coordinating warehouse tasks with delivery schedules.

Ability to follow instructions and procedures efficiently and accurately.

Basic math skills for inventory and order verification, as well as handling payments if necessary.

Familiarity with delivery tracking applications or GPS navigation is a plus for efficient route management.

An appreciation for the cowboy and ranching lifestyle is a bonus!

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods within the warehouse.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, sometimes over uneven terrain during deliveries to ranches.

Ability to operate a vehicle for extended periods, navigating various road conditions.

May be exposed to varying temperatures and warehouse conditions, as well as outdoor weather during deliveries.Company Description
