POSITION SUMMARY:

The Subcontracts Specialist is responsible for identifying and engaging potential competitive sources of supply, negotiating best-in-class terms for long-term agreements, ensuring ongoing contract compliance, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and lead strategic performance reviews of Critical Suppliers. The Specialist will analyze supplier work share and make recommendations to balance risks. The Specialist will negotiate at the executive level with suppliers and must be capable of resolving complex problems by developing effective strategies and tactics with minimal direction. It is important that the candidate have a good understanding of DCMA compliance requirements for purchasing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contract negotiation, LTA management, and complex problem resolution with Critical Suppliers

Supplier sourcing, analyzing supplier work-load and balancing assurance of supply risks

Critical supplier relationship management

Supplier on-boarding

Ensure procurement coordination for program support and provide additional any necessary additional support for Critical Suppliers

Collaborate with Fulfillment to manage underperforming suppliers

Ensure FAR compliance and execute Pre-Buys

Other activities as assigned by SC leadership

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Uncompromising Integrity and accountability

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in negotiation and contracts, or equivalent work experience.

Robust Long-Term Agreement knowledge and experience

Clear understanding of developing and implementing sourcing strategies

Excellent ability to perform detailed spend analysis of commodities

2 years of experience in either Aerospace, Defense, or another highly regulated industry.

Experience with ERP, preferably SAP, but SAP not required.

Excellent contracts negotiation expertise leading to significant cost savings and/or risk mitigation.

Strong analytical skills, including especially cost and price analysis techniques and the ability to proactively identify and present key market trends to leadership.

A complex problem-solver who works equally well independently as they do in cross-functional teams.

Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

DFAR/FAR experience

Excellent organizational skills

Experience developing and managing to KPIs.

High emotional intelligence.

Expert Complex Problem-Solver

Intermediate in Excel and PowerPoint

Excellent written and verbal skills, capable of presenting at the executive level.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Medium-to-large office environment

Fast paced office environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments

SALARY RANGE:

Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $85,000 to $110,000

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

5%-25%, Primarily domestic travel, but with the possibility of infrequent international travel
