Scope of work:

The IT Portfolio Management Office and Business Services Technology Departments are augmenting its staff to provide additional project management support for work for the Azure Migration efforts. The Project Manager selected will utilize his/her Project Management, vendor management, customer management skills, to work on the large Azure Migration Project including planning and execution activities throughout all phases of the project. The ideal candidate must have prior Azure Migration experience, strong solid project management skills, excellent relationship management experience up to executive level. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and is a team player. All work is highly visible work.

Job Duties:

• As a member of the IT PMO, lead implementation of the Azure Migration Project under the guidance of the IT Portfolio Management Office and Business Technology Services Teams.

• Be hands-on project manager and provide day-to-day project management deliverables with IT teams and with vendors. This involves working closely with IT PMO Team Manager in the PMO, Technology Leadership and Executive Sponsor.

• Work closely with the Senior Project Manager/Program Manager

• Follow the IT PMO Project Methodology, develop and track schedules, status reporting, issue, risk and change management, and communication management. Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and project schedules using MS Office Project Online tools.

• Initiate, lead project team meetings, escalate issues, and provide status updates with internal teams, vendors and customer.

• Work with IT resources teams to create cohesive project team dynamics.

• Regularly convene and/or attend project planning meetings, sponsor meetings, creating agendas, minutes and action items; complete weekly status reports; create project charters.

• Must be comfortable working in a Healthcare environment which includes working in areas occupied by patients. Team Work, neatness of appearance and output of work effort is emphasized. Conformance to dress code and wearing of OSUWMC Contractor ID badge at all time is required.

Qualifications:

• PMP Certified.

• Solid Relationship Management experience.

• Prior Azure experience preferred.

• Hands-on project management lifecycle experience is a must.

• 5+ years of proven project experience managing a full project life cycle.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with technology staff, business stakeholders and clients.

• Must effectively be able to document business requirements, charters, etc. with the ability to take complex technical information and translate it into language that can be understood by all members of the customer and IT team.

• Productivity tools include MS Project Online, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Professional; proficiency of 8-10 on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest).

• Experience working in a matrixed project environment.

• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely implementation of assigned projects.
