Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Cook, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring a smooth operation in the dietary department.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary requirements
- Assist with meal planning and portion control
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during all stages of food preparation
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members in the kitchen
Skills:
- Catering experience is a plus
- Proficiency in following recipes and portion control guidelines
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work in various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
