POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides direct security and related public services.
You will conduct the following responsibilities upholding Tarian’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.
Our Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the facility, its staff, and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on property.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Completed High School Diploma or GED
21 Years +
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Tarian company's driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles)
Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:
Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
Armed (Handgun) Qualifications:
At least 21 years of age
Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a weapon
Ability to pass the initial and semi-annual Tarian approved firearms training course to demonstrate proficiency in use of firearm
Ability to participate and meet the requirements of additional firearms training at the discretion of the firearms instructor
Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Tarian Firearms policies
