Job Purpose: The coordinator, will coordinate activities aimed at reforming the electoral process in Syria, including facilitating discussions with stakeholders, organizing initiatives, and ensuring alignment with legal frameworks.
The Elections Coordinator will play a vital role in fostering collaboration, producing actionable outcomes, and advancing electoral reform efforts.
Job Duration: End of 2025, Renewable upon funds availability Duties and Responsibilities - Plan and oversee activities related to reforming the electoral process.
- Facilitate dialogue and consultations with stakeholders on the ground, including community leaders, officials, and civil society organizations.
- Collaborate with Syrian civil society organizations, initiatives, and official institutions to ensure the inclusiveness and effectiveness of constitutional processes.
- Organize workshops, forums, and consultations, including participant selection and coordination - Participate in regular team meetings and relevant activities.
- Draft periodic and comprehensive reports on project progress and outcomes.
- Execute tasks assigned by the Director of Programs.
Requirements: - A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar role within national or international NGOs.
- An academic degree in law, political science, public administration or a related field.
- Specialized training or certifications in electoral processes or governance reform would be an advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of Syrian elections laws and procedures.
- Strong understanding of and ability to communicate with Syrian organizations, initiatives, and official institutions.
- Resident in Syria preferably Damascus, with the ability to travel across provinces.
