Responsibilities
Under the direction of the VP, Operational Excellence, the Operational Excellence Director leads transformation and innovation initiatives, supports operations, and manages performance analytics. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, fostering continuous improvement, and driving measurable impacts on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities
Functional Category: Operational Excellence Administration and Strategy
Estimated Percent of time Spent - 100%
• Spearhead transformation and innovation projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Balance program and project management with deep business acumen to deliver impactful results.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of products and processes, guiding enhancements from conceptualization through to implementation.
• Ensure all initiatives have specific, measurable impacts on key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish robust monitoring mechanisms.
• Identify and address performance opportunities at the center level using detailed KPI data analysis.
• Maintain the "One InnovAge Way," including creating and updating playbooks to ensure consistent high performance across the organization.
• Support Market Operating Reviews (MOR) and SWAT team efforts to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Identify and implement product enhancements based on member feedback and needs.
• Analyze and propose business development opportunities and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive enterprise operational KPI dashboards to provide real-time insights.
• Create aligned tactical metric dashboards and performance management tools to support daily operations.
• Ensure the availability of role-specific tools that provide necessary insights for operators to make informed decisions.
• Foster the development of integrated ecosystems rather than isolated reports to enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Implement top-down product solutions and identify bottoms-up product and process enhancement opportunities.
• Analyze business challenges and develop appropriate solutions
Travel Requirements

• Overnight & out of state travel should be expected.

REQUIRED
Education
• Bachelor of Arts/Sciences in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; comparable experience may be considered.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or PMP Certification
• Knowledge of healthcare environments, Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) regulations
Work Experience and Qualifications
• Minimum of Ten (10) years of total related experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in operational excellence or operations management.
• Five (5) years of experience in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Skilled at identifying problems, conducting audits, and following up for corrective actions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a broad spectrum of individuals to meet compliance objectives.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timeliness.
PREFERRED
Education
• Master of Arts/Sciences in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred or PMP Certification
• 10+ years of working in an operational excellence capacity in a complex environment. Demonstrated working knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
