Johnstone Supply is currently seeking a full-time Forklift Warehouse Associate to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients' lumber products are loaded, unloaded, and inspected at the warehouse facility before moving on to retail locations. You will work closely with the facility manager to inspect inbound and outbound shipments, make minor repairs to packaging, and report your findings daily through an online process. Position Responsibilities
Efficiently unload and receive inbound shipments of products and building materials using a forklift or manual methods.
Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all products meet quality standards, documenting findings and addressing any discrepancies before preparing items for outbound shipment to local stores.
Prepare and submit detailed daily reports summarizing activities, quality inspection results, and any relevant observations.
Safely palletize, stage, and manage inventory by performing up-stocking and down-stocking tasks utilizing a forklift or cherry picker.
Operate independently while maintaining effective communication with warehouse associates and management to ensure smooth workflow.
Perform minor repairs on product packaging to maintain presentation and quality standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 21+ years of age or older.
A Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and have a reliable personal vehicle.
5+ years' experience operating a propane powered forklift and order picker, or the willingness to obtain certification.
A Smartphone with internet access and the ability to send/receive texts and emails.
Possess basic tools such as work gloves, basic hand tools, tape measure, box cutter.
This position involves duties such as lifting, bending, stooping, sitting, standing, walking, and safely climbing ladders.
This position involves regular lifting requirements of 50+ lbs without assistance throughout the shift.
