Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Akkodis is seeking aSenior Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). You will be responsible for developing backend logic, Web APIs, and microservices while collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting the team in different phases of project execution.

Rate Range: $48/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

Designing and developing backend logic and Web APIs using Java 17, Spring Boot, and J2EE.

Working with Kafka processors and batch jobs for efficient data handling and processing.

Implementing microservices applications and ensuring seamless integration across platforms.

Collaborating with client stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure project success.

Utilizing CI/CD tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Urban Code Deploy to automate and streamline deployments.

Participating in Agile methodologies with tools like Jira and Scrum for efficient project management.

Debugging and analyzing applications to address issues, optimize performance, and improve functionality.

Providing technical leadership, offering support and guidance to the team throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensuring high-quality code through rigorous unit testing and test support processes.

Supporting the development of non-relational databases like MongoDB and working with Kubernetes/OpenShift when needed.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in software development, specifically with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

Strong expertise in backend development and Web API design using Java 8/17, J2EE, and Spring Boot.

Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy), and familiarity with Agile practices (Jira/Scrum).

Pay Details: $48.00 to $50.00 per hour
