Quality Assurance Tester

Job Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in Saint Paul, Minnesota, for a Quality Assurance Tester. This role is significant in the systematic approach and transition of our largest projects and programs. The Quality Assurance Tester will not only provide overall leadership in quality assurance, but also have hands-on execution responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure solution(s) meet quality standards and goals.

• Collaborate with project teams and key vendor partners for the formulation of one end-to-end test strategy and test plan.

• Execute manual or automated test cases and provide detailed reports on test results.

• Implement a process to control and document any changes made during the life of a project, including release control, change control, and revision control.

• Thoroughly record, document, and track bugs/defects and define corrective actions.

• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

• Assist in creating, tracking, and reporting data-driven metrics to align with testing exit criteria.

• Collaborate with the project team to determine the risk and priorities of defects found and plan to fix those defects.

• Mentor the project Business Analyst in quality assurance best practices.

• Propose and implement automated test tools, design, develop, and execute automation scripts.

• Provide program guidance by participating in all phases of projects to provide QA guidance to cross-functional project teams.

• Collaborate on the release management plan for projects/program.• The applicant must have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Software Quality Assurance is mandatory.

• The candidate should be highly skilled in using Automated Test Tools.

• The ability to perform Stress Testing is a crucial requirement for this role.

• The applicant should possess excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

• The candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with the software development team.

• The applicant should have a strong understanding of QA methodologies and processes.

• The candidate must be capable of documenting test results and communicating errors to the development team.

• The applicant should be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
