SUMMARY: Responsible for managing equipment, documentation, and terminal operations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete tracking reports (tracking), coordinate with transport companies, dedicated and 3PL, and coordinate security companies. Feeding the TMW system, printing and sending EIR’s, ATC, Arivus, F5300, etc., paying vendors, and closing orders. Follow up, answering emails related to the status of shipments, calls related, border crossing, and unforeseen situations. Assign containers from customer requests. Review and analyze the inventory to keep it updated. Generate reports for our TOP customers with the Crowley equipment inventory in their facilities.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE: 1 - 3 years of experience in the commercial trucking or maritime industry.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access and Excel. Proficient in industry related transportation management systems.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of change management. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related professional/company standards as well as applicable federal, state and/or local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. Must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of transportation and maritime operations.

OTHER: Bilingual (English/Spanish).

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple departments.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside and office environment and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard, viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods.

FLSA Status: The position is Non-Exempt. May require the ability to work overtime to meet required deadlines. Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health.
