We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to support retail and phone customers through exceptional service and technical expertise. This role also includes responsibilities in inventory management, shipping and receiving, and the fabrication of hose and tube assemblies according to customer specifications and company standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales
Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in counter customers and provide backup support for incoming phone inquiries.
Address customer requests with prompt, accurate, and courteous responses.
Process customer orders in accordance with Cross Company performance metrics.
Provide technical support and product recommendations based on customer needs.
Help to maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse.
Negotiate pricing to secure business while maintaining healthy profit margins.
Enter sales orders and quotes using NetSuite software.
Technical Assembly & Product Knowledge
Fabricate hose and tube assemblies to customer specifications in compliance with Parker and Cross Company quality standards.
Achieve and maintain necessary technical certifications (e.g., Parker PLI).
Read and interpret engineering drawings and dimensional specifications.
Demonstrate an understanding of key product features, advantages, and benefits.
Continuously expand product knowledge to become a trusted technical resource for customers and account managers.
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
Perform shipping and receiving duties, including inventory control, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.
Complete miscellaneous tasks and special projects as required.
Communication & Team Support
Communicate significant customer or supplier concerns to the Retail Sales Manager.
Participate in assigned performance and development initiatives.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
One (1) year of experience in customer service, warehouse operations and equipment operation is preferred.

Required Functional Competencies

Understanding of warehouse operations and terminology
Physical & Mental Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Capable of working in a physically demanding environment
Able to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced setting
